Jimmy Fallon has left SNL and that same year Conan announced that he would host Late Night for five more years. Now Lorne Michaels (executive producer of shows like 30 Rock, SNL and Late Night) wanted Jimmy for the role as far back as his departure from SNL. I think Jimmy is rather good as host his chemistry with Higgins and ?uestlove, the Thank you notes, the beer pong, cell phone shootout. I think it's a new kind of funny that tv hasn't seen before.
