Q&A: What are the numbers The Roots yell out at the beginning of each Jimmy Fallon episode?

Question by MuchToMyChagrin: What are the numbers The Roots yell out at the beginning of each Jimmy Fallon episode?
They’re different every day. What are they about? Where do they pick the numbers? Do they mean something? Or are they just random numbers?

At the top of each show while The Roots are performing the theme song ‘Here I Come’, ‘?uestlove’ and Tariq Trotter usually shout out the episode number during the break in the song. If the number is an area code, ?uestlove will also yell out the name of the city/region.

Hope this helps! I love Jimmy Fallon and his show!
