promoting Apple products? He must want/get free stuff or something. It’s kind of annoying.

It might just be that he thinks he’s appealing to a younger audience that way. Conan used to mention two groups of people who watched his show in his time slot: Parents getting their young babies to sleep, and young people. It’s a relatively universally known fact that most younger people have become more into Apple products in the last couple of years. Perhaps he is thinking that if he shows that he uses products used by younger people that he is telling younger people that he is like them.

P.S. Another thing that shows they’re trying to make their target demographic younger people: Their parody of “The Hills” called “Seventh Floor West” (at least I think that’s what he called it).
